This Weekend/Next week (July 4-12)

Just a head's up: There is no game on Saturday, July 4. My apologies. Two of our dads noted that I'd sent something out with that info and that would be incorrect. There is no game Saturday. I admit I'm a wee bit fried, but thank God for our parents and their keen eyes.

Saturday, July 4
8:15 am - Meet at Costco Waipio parking lot near the intersection. Bring ice, coolers and big shakas and smiles.

UPDATE - Just learned that Costco will be closed on Saturday, so please stay in touch with me (551-1054) tonight and tomorrow morning for a different site. Possibly Mililani Shopping Center or in town at a store if we can get permission tonight. Gotta be creative and flexible :)

9:00 am-12 pm - Fishing time! We need at least three Thunder players and one more adult. I think it'll be worth the 3 hours of fish netting with the constant stream of people going to Costco for their holiday cookout fare.

Sunday, July 5
9:00 am - Meet at Rainbows for the Huli Huli Chicken pickup. We have several parents and players coming for the early shift. The afternoon shift will go until closing time (for the pickup tent) at 3 pm.We will need new signs for the Huli Chicken pickup. Can our artist talent come up with 2 signs please?

NEED
> Sign holders on the sidewalk on Kapahulu Ave.
> All tickets returned by 10 am. (If you are not coming, please call/text me 551-1054 so I can pick up the tickets today/Friday and Saturday. THIS IS CRUCIAL.
> All ticket money returned by Sunday, 10 am. Not a portion. ALL.

Parents will help with chopping and bagging the chickens.

Please note: Since we are out of tickets, please have your customers come pick up the half chickens on Sunday and refer to you so you can get credit for your child. I will keep a tally all day on that. Jimmy will order extra chickens for the walk-up sales. I'm going to request 50 or 100 extra UNLESS a lot of tickets are returned to me by tonight (Friday).

Monday, July 6, 7:00 pm - vs Hawaii Raiders (Le Jardin JV/16U League)
Tuesday, July 7, 4:30 pm - vs HBA (Kalani Varsity League)
Wednesday, July 8, 6:00 pm - vs Maryknoll (Le Jardin JV/16U League)
Thursday, July 9, 7:50 pm - vs Punahou (Kalani Varsity League)
Friday, July 10, 6:20 pm - vs Hoops4Christ, CAL 13U Gold, Kilauea gym
? Friday, July 10, TBA - Aiea Blazers Intermediate Tournament (5:00 pm - 9:30 pm)
Saturday, July 11, 12:00 pm - vs Mililani (Le Jardin JV/16U League)
? Saturday, July 11, TBA - Aiea Blazers Intermediate Tournament (9:00 am-4:00 pm)
? Sunday, July 12, TBA - Aiea Blazers Intermediate Tournament (9:00 am-4:00 pm)

I am leaning toward pulling out of the Aiea Blazers tournament (Intermediate Division).
1. This would save us $300.
2. We would be short-handed since Colin, Ryan, Micah and Jonah have school games/practice or football going on.
3. This would give us more time to continue fundraising.
4. We already have games scheduled in leagues on Friday (July 10) and Saturday (July 11).

On the other hand, 13U only has one game that week (Friday) and is otherwise not very busy. They probably would love to play in the tourney. So please give me your thoughts.
Input always welcome, Thunder parents and players (and supporters).
