Sunday Funday: Huli Chicken

Great teamwork, great fun and great memories today as we did our first huli huli chicken fundraiser. MAHALO to Jimmy of Rainbow Drive-In for believing in us, trusting in us and allowing us to work on the premises to raise funds. I'm proud of our parents and players for arriving early and working as late as possible to make this a success that I hope we can replicate many more times in the future. Jimmy seemed happy, too, and welcomed us to fundraise with him again.

He's a blessing. So are our parents and all the Thunder players who worked hard today even if they hadn't sold tickets. That's what a team does. Big mahalo to Mrs. Chang and Sanford for helping out and supporting the Thunder. Mrs. Chang bought the team shave ice just before closing time. Never take a blessing for granted. Kindness is never weakness. Kindness is STRENGTH!

Busy week ahead back on the hardwood. But what a terrific weekend we had fundraising. So gratified and grateful, especially for our guys who really need to raise money. We're not there yet, but we're getting closer :)

Next: Monday, 6:00 pm - Stretching/warmups at Le Jardin gym. 7:00 pm - H1 Thunder vs. Hawaii Raiders.
