Tani's injury

I'm at Queen's waiting to hear on Tani's prognosis. He injured his neck at our game tonight, diving for a loose ball on the sideline and sliding into the bottom of the bleachers at the scorer's table. He was on his back and conscious the whole time but his neck was stiff and he was in pain.

Fortunately, a nurse was there - the wife of Kalani assistant coach Everett Frye. She talked Tani through all the precautions, He wanted to go home when we talked with his dad by phone, but we decided to be safe and called for an ambulance. 

The first thing he asked while we waited was for me to call his girlfriend and let her know he wouldn't see her later. Or talk to her , I can't remember.

When the ambulance arrived, a paramedic turned Tani's head, which was facing nd right, back to normal position. They brought him Queen's around 30-45 minutes ago, around 900-915 pm. 

The game was called after he got hurt. All the Thunder boys stayed until he was in the ambulance.

Please keep him in your prayers for a smooth, quick and full recovery. We've seen Tani make unbelievable hustle plays in the past, even running into walls. He's been more careful in the past year or so, but he still plays all out with all his heart. It was a blowout game with less than 3 minutes left and he was still going harder than anyone.
