Sunday Huli

The day is finally near. We need ALL HANDS on deck for Sunday's Huli Huli Chicken Fundraiser at Rainbow Drive In.

• Need maximum help at 8:30 am. Jimmy just requested that we be there at that time, so early shifters, please abide and be there at the huli chicken tent 8:30. Parents will handle chopping chickens (in half) and bagging them.

• Players wear jerseys/uniforms and will make, bring and hold signs that read HULI CHICKEN 4 THUNDER BASKETBALL @ RAINBOWS and GO TO HULI CHICKEN TENT SUPPORT H1 THUNDER. Stuff like that.

• We will man the table at the tent and hold signs from the opening to the closing at 3:00 pm. Please stay for morning and afternoon shifts if possible.

• TICKETS SOLD OUT - If you still have customers who want to buy half chickens, please 1) direct them to the pickup tent on Sunday, and 2) have them mention your player's name. That way I can tally up credit for the sales when they were referred by our parents and players. We didn't expect to sell out 400 tickets, so this is one way to handle the demand.

• IF YOU STILL HAVE TICKETS UNSOLD please bring them to me before the huli chicken pickup. Or at least in the morning. That way we can sell out of all 400 tickets before or during the pickup time and make Jimmy happy. We want to be involved with this fundraiser for eternity.

• RETURN ALL TICKET REVENUE TODAY OR SUNDAY. There is no way to say thank you to Jimmy any better than to have what he needs in hard, cold cash, if that's what he wants. So please kokua and bring everything in, no delays. Several parents have done this already and Big Mahalos to them :)

• PLAYERS WEAR JERSEYS/UNIFORMS. I know I mentioned that earlier but sometimes they hear better the second or third time.

• BIG SMILES, BIG SHAKAS, BIG REWARDS. True in all lines of business. Sign wavers, please connect with passers by. They may not stop the first time, but they sure might return when they get hungry an hour later. A smile goes a long, long way.
