H1 Thunder vs. Kahuku, Compete & Learn 15U League, Monday, July 1, 2013, Kilauea District Park Gym. Always a tough battle with the Red Raiders. Like us, Kahuku has some very talented 8th and 7th graders. This one was close all the way. We pulled out to a small lead in the final minutes and held on to win, 45-40. Another solid team win!
It was cool to see Hiram Akina and son Nehoa coaching Kahuku on this night. They filled in for the regular coach, Alan (one of Hiram's sons). Best wishes to their team as the travel to Las Vegas and Utah this month.
