Thunder 13U outlasted Lanakila 51-41. We started strong and withstood several waves of pressure from Lanakila. Good team win and we closed CAL 13U League with a 4-3 record. We were in title contention and lose some close battles, but it's good to see the team improve and grow from wins and losses.
Thunder 15U lost 49-46 to No Name (aka Mid-Pacific Owls). The Owls are tall, move the ball extremely well and can shoot the 3 better than I can remember since we started playing in leagues. We trailed by about 8-9 points, but fought back and almost caught them at the end. The Owls have some talented 14- and 15-year-olds. We had a lineup of guys who are mostly 12 and 13. They played in the earlier 13U game against Lanakila. Sifo and Jerry were our only 14's. Sierra is sick, Tone tired from football. Keanu and Brent not there. So we did really well under the circumstances. One of the few times I felt good after a loss.
15U (4-2) has a busy week ahead. They play in the Pearl City JV League on Thursday, then a final CAL game (Kailua) on Friday, then the Pearl City JV League championship game on Saturday (1:00 pm). Thunder 15U is 9-0 in that league.
Plus, 15U has the Aiea JV Tournament Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More on that schedule later.
WE LUB THIS GAME.
