Got the Baden balls pumped up. They've been sitting since Black Thursday. Still two more in the box but this will do for now. Kalani Varsity League and OIA use Baden. So does HHSAA and state tourneys. We good to go!
The reason we haven't practiced with the Baden is the leagues use Wilson Evolutions almost exclusively. It's the school leagues that have contracts with certain brand manufacturers.

Now I need to get some Spalding TF-1000 balls since the Le Jardin League and ILH use it. Don't mock that weird ball too much. We once made 14 treys in a 13u game with that ball. Sports Authority has the Spalding TF-1000 (regular, not funky red/earthy texture "moisture management") for $70. Waiting to hear back from the LJ League on whether they use the regular or red ball.
More from LJ League:
• Le Jardin's team (D-III varsity) has dropped out and has been replaced by Campbell. This means stronger competition for the league.
• Because they've dropped out (only 6 solid, committed players), LJ's coach has asked if we'd be interested in scrimmaging before or after our games, or on different dates. If it works out time-wise and our parents have the flexibility, we can give this a try.
• With teams coming in from as far away as Campbell (Ewa Beach), Mililani and Kahuku, we should have every reason to be at every game in full force. PLEASE let me know if and when transportation is an issue for your child. We can organize car pools thanks to the generous hearts of our Thunder parents.
• If money is an issue and you can't afford to chip in the $40 to play, please do not stress. We have a couple of fundraisers coming up and the opportunity to raise money will be there. This is about our kids having every chance to grow and develop, to have fun together after working very hard together. Do what you can, and then let it go regardless of whether the money is there or not. Things will work out.
