We're selling less - half-chickens.
Jimmy is a busy businessman, but he squared things away today with our H1 Thunder for a huli huli chicken fundraiser.
Pickup will be on Sunday, July 5 at Rainbow Drive-In. We will work in shifts to man the pickup table and bag the product.
We will sell 400 tickets for half chickens. (If we sell out, we can order more tickets, more profit, more chance of traveling to Maui, or at least offsetting the costs of leagues, tournaments, uniforms.)
We can sell them for $6 or $7 - I'm leaning toward $7. These are onolicious chickens and I mean that 100% because I eat their huli chicken often. Slightly crispy on the outside. Juicy on the inside.
If every player and his/her family sells at least 20 tickets, we will hit 400 total easily. Please encourage buyers to get more than 1 ticket. I opted for half chickens instead of whole because there are people who want 1 1/2 chickens (three halves) or just one half. So we have flexibility, and a little added profit margin by selling halves.
So the tickets will be in soon, and it's already time to start selling to your aunties, uncles, grandpas, grandmas, older brothers and sisters, co-workers, teachers, friends, friends of friends. We will also sell tickets at various sites - thanks to Auntie Char for that suggestion. That will really help the guys who don't have big families to sell tickets to. I was one of those guys many years ago, but instead of selling at a store, we had to go door to door. Good, hard work.
So start the momentum, get your extended families in the loop to buy several tickets. I'm thinking of a prize or two for the top sellers. We'll see.
