Had our best 13U turnout for practice today. Seven strong. In all we had 16 players, including Little Paul's younger brother George, who is starting to like this whole basketball drills thing to my surprise.
The 13U really, really, really needed to work on fundamentals and plays. We're one step closer to where we want to be. It's tough with the girls being busy all week; Sunday is the one day they have time to be at Makiki Park, but they learn quickly. Faster than most of the boys? No comment.
Back on the court Monday, 3 pm, and then our game schedule kicks back up on Tuesday. The 13U play on Wednesday. I'm hoping we get a good turnout before then. Chris and Tanielu, the brothers, are working hard and plan on being at every practice. They did a great job with Coach Dean today, going through low-post footwork.
We're getting there one day at a time. I lub this game!
