Sweat Equity Thursday

Thursday - Good workout today for the guys who didn't have football or basketball practice at school. Started with Walter, Sean, Bryson and Keanu. (Jared also came and stayed for awhile before going to baseball practice.) That's right, Keanu is back on Oahu for some vacation time. (For the newer guys, Keanu played with us since our second team back in 2010 or so. He moved to Colorado last year.)

Got a lot of solid work done, from low-post footwork to 3-point shooting, triple threat to up and under. Keanu was the champ with of 3-point drills. He made 72 treys in three rounds, including 34-for-56 in his second round. I think that's a record for one round. He also tied Cody Ogoso's record (2011) for one 30-second set by hitting nine 3-pointers (9 for 12) three different times.

Cody still has the record, though, for having nine treys with a higher percentage.

With a bunch of guys unable to play Friday in the Maryknoll JV League, having Keanu with us for the next few days will be really helpful. Hope to see you guys in 16U on Saturday morning. I'll be with the 14U at the Aiea tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Big Mahalo to Chase's dad, Roland, for shooting the game video of 16U vs. Damien. I haven't watched it yet, but looking forward to it.
