Travel Update 7/7

## Waiting, waiting, waiting ##
Been waiting for Hawaiian Airlines to send an e-mail in response to our group-rate request. I put the request in this morning when their group rate department opened. (They were closed on Sunday.)

People tell me it could be quick or it could be a long wait until the afternoon before I get the e-mail. I put in for 12 seats, Friday July 25, 6:48 am flight to Kona. (The only other flights available were earlier in the morning.) The lady said our guys flying out at a different time would not get the group rate. (I guess they can if they join in with some of our other dads like Rod, Kalei and Henry.)

I have us lined up for a 2-bedroom condo with kitchen at a good rate ($177/night). They have 3 units available, so I'm ready to jump on that once I get confirmation from everyone. They allow 6 max per unit and we will probably end up with about 18 travelers.

Coach Carl had already helped us reserve mini-vans.

With more travelers, the total cost rises, so please chip in where needed. Fundraiser this week is the FT Challenge, so print up the forms (I'm going to e-mail new ones today) and ask your sponsors to please support our cause.

WE LUB THIS GAME!

## Travel Update 7/7 ##
2:15 pm - So losing my patience waiting for Hawaiian Airlines to respond and tell us whether we are getting a group rate for our trip to Kona. Friends telling me it's normal for HA to have a busy Monday, slow response time. Nothing we can do but wait and hope those seats on the plane don't get snatched up. I called early this morning to make the request, called again around 1:30 pm to follow up. Nothing.

But there's good news: I booked two 2-bedroom/kitchen incl. condo units in Kona. (Radyn/Rod and Chase/Kalei booked their own condo in Waikoloa and their own flight/car.) We got a super good rate at Kona Bali Kai (see photos).

I also locked in two mini-vans that were reserved by Coach Carl. Mahalo Carl!

Also, Gabriel's dad, Gerard, sent this photo (below) today. The new uniforms are being laid out and though they are far from complete, it's a very nice start. Yes, Felcris, they are going to add the vertical stripes, too.

Where we're going.

How we're getting there.

Where we're staying.

How we're getting around.

Where we're playing.

What we're wearing.

Under construction.
