Though nobody broke Kapaa's record of 2.6 seconds on the short sprint, Jared re-broke the long-sprint mark. After going for 11.2 seconds last time, he lowered it to 11.15 today. Everybody is getting faster and stronger. Radyn posted a 12.05 time after last week's range around 12.9. Chase got down to 11.8 or so.
We drove down to Palolo Field for more work: verticals, wheelbarrows, pushups/crunches, steps (runs and bunny hops). Felcris was strong as usual on the wheelbarrow, reaching the chain link barrier at the top. Chase took it one step further and got to the parking pavement. They got a lot of work done on another 90-degree day.
Why go through all the work and sweat and pain? The guys are committed to getting better every day. Simple as that. They seem pretty determined, too. Nothing and nobody can really stop them.
Lineup: Felcris Jay Corpuz Ahadain, Jared Elwin, Radyn Kaleikini, Chase Santos.
