CAL Intermediate Gold Division, Kilauea gym
(I'll post the score later after I get home and load the game video. I don't know what it was and it's too hard to tell from the video with my old eyes.)
Nice team effort in our CAL spring league opener. We didn't get too up or down, and that was important against another tall team. (They had a bunch of 5-11, 5-10 guys and we're 5-7 and under when Chris Afe isn't there.) They had solid players and though I'm pretty sure most people in the gym assumed the Thunder would lose, I'm glad we don't play according to anyone else's expectation level.
That was a solid effort from everybody, making more plus plays than minus plays, moving the ball, overcoming mistakes, hustling on defense and, a few times, actually boxing out.
Lineup: Josh R, Micah, Colin, Felcris, Javan, Josh DJ, Trinity, Jayden, Jhevin, Jance, Walter.
Everyone was stoked to see Ryan at both games (earlier game was at Aiea 13U League) today, cheering his teammates on. Also great to see Kyle and his folks (Coach Roy and Auntie Chit) there. I saw Chase after the game with his younger brother, Skyler. They said Gabriel was there, too.
