Just a reminder, everybody, to collect from your donors and turn in the Free-Throw Challenge donations. Some guys haven't shot yet and they're planning to get sponsors even now and raise funds. That's fine with me. Let me know if you need a new FT Challenge form.
We're doing really well so far this spring with this fundraiser. We have 3 team fees to pay for (PAA 13U, OBL 13U, OBL 15U), which is a combined expense of $1,500.
So far, thanks to our hustling parents and players, we've raised more than $1,100 through the FT Challenge alone. We've received a large chunk of donations from some of our biggest supporters and also from some new supporters, like my old Ala Wai Elementary and Washington Intermediate School friend Shawn Toyozaki. He sent us a super generous donation all the way from the mainland.
Mrs. Chang and son Sanford have been extremely generous on such a consistent basis, I don't know how we'll ever really thank them. Lance Tominaga, Coach Kendall Ellingwood, Ron Okai, Chris Chun... so many people volunteered to help our team out without even being asked. Thunder players, when you give thanks before you go to sleep tonight, please give thanks for all the people who have given generously to help you and our team. Without them, we wouldn't be on the court playing and having so much fun.
I'll have a lot more about our donors and supporters in another post here this week. Just wanted to send out a reminder.
