Wild game. We were down 20-8 at the start, another flat beginning. But eventually, we chipped away and caught Lanakila in the second half. Kapaa and Kali‘a did a great job posting up consistently to change the tide.
We led 27-23, then lost the lead and trailed 33-29 in the final 2-3 minutes before rallying.
Kali‘a's miraculous (blind) turnaround bank shot gave us the lead 34-33 with about :11 left. Lanakila missed a shot, then there was a scramble on the floor for the rebound while time ran out.
So we move on to the championship game next week against the Sharks. Fun times today and fun times ahead. I am so drained.
