Found out during the potluck on Monday that CAL (Compete & Learn) Basketball League has squeezed us into the 13-Under Division. The league is cancelling its 15U Division, which makes sense because most teams at that age range are playing in JV Leagues, including us.
CAL 13U will begin next Monday (June 1), but our team doesn't play on that day. We'll have 7 games. Game dates are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
This is good news for our younger guys, a prayer answered, really. We don't have have a deep roster with our 13U; many of our eighth graders have turned 14 or are about to. But we have enough experience, skill and heart remaining to compete in the 13U Gold Division once again.
