JV: Thunder 15U 54, Royals 34

Thunder 15u now 4-0 in the Pearl City JV League after a win over the Hanalani Royals. Sorry I can't remember the score. We had a strong start, up 11-2 and kept the pressure on all game. It's neat to see everybody adjust to playing man defense in the first half (league rule). The guys off the bench really liked play man defense fullcourt. Lots of energy.

Got strong team ball from everybody. Passing has always been one of our strong suits with Sisifo Lauvao, Kyle Moraga, Tanielu Mosi Afe. With Tone Lauvao in the mix, delivering pinpoint passes in the key, that adds more to it. (When Chris Tatupu Afe) gets back, the passing will get even more better.

De Jesus Jimark good defense on the ball fullcourt, a valuable weapon we can deploy without having to use the entire team to press. Javan Montiho Julie Montiho) and Felcris Jay Corpuz were solid off the bench with Joshua de Jesus. They gave us a lot of good defense and some nice transition baskets.

Good team win today.

Next: Practice, Sunday, 11:00 am, McCully gym. 1:00 pm - For the guys who don't have daytime Father's Day plans, BBQ/pool party at Coach Bo & Auntie Char's place afterward (Date St. near ‘Iolani School).

BIG MAHALO to Coach Loto for picking up almost all the boys today before the game. I was going to pick up some of them when I got a call from my brother reminding me about my nephew's grad party, which I thought was on Sunday. Thanks Loto!
