Messy loss after being up 26-22. We were tired, injured and mistake-prone against their man defense. Overdribbling instead of running plays. Not making any contact defensively, which allowed LBC to grab about 15 offensive rebounds.
It was frustrating to watch. We were definitely shorthanded, but we had enough to win. It's mind over matter when it comes to defense and rebounding. We were just too weak defensively inside against another tall team. I hate that.
The one positive is that some of our 13U got some playing time and experience.
Next: Sunday, 2:00 pm - Thunder vs. Hoops4Christ.
The winner finishes second in the pool and qualifies for the championship bracket semifinal. We're 1-1 in our pool now.
