Short-handed but still capable, we struggled again against fullcourt pressure. It's too bad, because even without our bigs, this team was solid in league play. Thing is, we rarely saw fullcourt pressure, and without much practice time lately, we had way too many bad/rushed decisions and passes in this game.
When we run our pressbreaker, we get in position to score. When we don't it's trouble against taller teams. It's a painful lesson, but it's a lesson nonetheless.
We're out of the championship bracket with one pool-play game left. The only way we would squeeze into the championship bracket is if 1) we win the next game, and 2) one of the qualifying teams drops out tomorrow for any odd reason. Unlikely. But with the pool game coming up and tomorrow's two consolation games, that's three more games. Lots of chances to have some fun.
Lineup: Javan Montiho, Walter Berthold, Josh Roberts, Colin Ramos, Josh M DE Jesus, Felcris Jay Corpuz Ahadain, Ryan Higashionna, Micah Visoria.
Mahalo to Keanu Pratt for assisting the boys on the bench.
Next: Saturday, 2:50 pm - Thunder vs. Sharks Green.
