Magnificent mahalo to Abcde Fortson for filming this game. She learned on the job tonight with a generous heart. Thank you, Ab!
PAA season opener was exciting and our Thunder Pups showed plenty of heart. We knew Team Dream would hit the floor with tough defensive pressure, but we didn't run our pressbreaker right until we were down by 8 or 10 points early in the game. DJ tweaked his foot in the first 2-3 minutes and played tough for the rest of the game.

Kellen gave it a go, but he said the ankle was too sore and we rested him. Him was tough defensively on TD's big man. DJ hit a bunch of 3's in the second half, but getting open looks from outside was not easy against their 1-2-2 zone.
We emphasized hitting the high post where the big gap was, but we didn't execute enough. We will work on this at practice until this becomes automatic.

EZ and Kye also hit big 3's to help us slice the lead down to 2 points late in the game, but we never tied it or took the lead. Kudos also to Ethan (Emic) for great defense all game long.

Lot of pluses including Haden driving strong to the bucket often. We have a good, joyful spirit with this team, win or lose. What a blessing 😊
