Shoutout to Uncle Sam for filming this contest. We played solid defense, really starting to cut to the basket for basic give-and-go buckets today. Nice to see that phase of evolution in our Thunder Pups. Kona was much more aggressive to the basket and worked with DJ with passes to get open looks. DJ had a good shooting game, no sore heel anymore. EZ had a sweet pass to Kona on a cut for a layup.
The lead was pretty significant late in the game before the Bearcats made a strong run and brought it down to the final margin. Good ball movement against their man and zone defenses by our starting five. They gave our reserves a chance to play a lot of minutes today.
8th Grade Pups now 2-2 in CAL League.
