2016 H1 Thunder Player Availability

Tonight's game was the last of our "season", which began last November (2014) with the Aiea 13U League. I got to see our younger guys (Pups) mature and grow both on the court and on. Our older guys got to play a lot, too, being an older team in the spring/summer JV leagues and the youngest team in the fall Varsity leagues. So many busy schedules, but this love for the game and their teammates rules.

We ended up playing around 140 games, my guess. It'll take some time and careful checking to see what our final overall record was. Whatever it is, the work doesn't stop. Never does. Reps and rest, preparing day by day. Proper nutrition and hydration. Proper conditioning. Building muscle and explosiveness. Honing skills. For our Thunder who embrace the grind and love working to become better players and better teammates, this is a great time to be young and dedicated.

God has been good to us over the past 12 months, over the past 5 years. Keep moving forward, follow that game plan you write down and post on the wall. Keep a record of your daily achievements, every little win, every rep. It all counts and it all matters. If you don't plan it and record and strive for more, nobody else will do it for you.

I hope to hear from everybody in these next two weeks about the spring and summer seasons, plus travel plans. As I mentioned after tonight's game, I need a real count of who will attend games, and those who can make it to games and practices, and those who can't make it to anything until summer, or none of the above. Hopefully, our Thunder family sticks together and reaps the rewards and fun of playing year-round regardless of whether we win championships or battle as the youngest teams.

Please be prepared, everybody who plans to play, and everybody who travels or not. We will have fundraisers coming up soon, continue through the winter, and go extra once spring arrives to raise everything we need and more to pay for league fees, uniforms, travel costs. Micah wants hoodies. Can do. We just put in the work.
