Mahalo to Supermom Auntie Selene Valdez Horita, who was behind the camera for this game. Our guys were shorthanded but played their butts off. DJ practiced all week on his lefty shooting and did pretty well, but tried to use his right hand and it didn't work out with that sprained wrist. Our 5th graders battled the best they could, but Kiawe Heat got hot from the 3-point line.

Sometimes the best teacher is experience. Haden attack the rim in the second half and drew fouls against bigger defenders. Avari played his tail off again (after the earlier game). We didn't play consistently fundamental and we didn't pick up their main shooter. When we did those things, our 5th graders competed.
Missing today: EZ (Japan trip), Emic (church activity), Kye (school luncheon), Eisley (Science Olympiad). That's four starters out today, so we're proud that our younger Pups got lots of minutes and tried hard.
