It is, in essence, the original Beautiful Game. While the design is wonderful DNA, the guts of the system is work ethic. Like anything else, nothing worth working for is acquired without blood, sweat and tears, and not necessarily in this order.

Mahalo to Donavan Tihpen's cousin for filming this game. Another very slow start, and again we started competing after falling behind by 20 points. Lot of refusal to listen, to set up our offenses, to box out, to triple threat, to be in our pressbreaker. Just flat out rejection of basic fundamentals as a team.
Thank goodness our 6th/5th Grade Pups came and rallied us. With Kona and Duke, they cut the lead down to 10 in the 4th quarter.
We've got work to do, day by day. When we've had teams that struggled they got better by showing up at every practice, on time for games, and took instruction to HEART.
This group of Pups can do the same if the will to listen and execute is there. If they continue to be selfish and me-first, they will continue to sit as they did in the 4th quarter. Building a true team requires great teammates. We will get there.
