Mahalo to all the parents who made our potluck on Memorial Day so much fun. It was a last-minute get-together, but the kids had a lot of fun. The recommendation of a couple of our parents to have it at the Natatorium - quite fitting for Memorial Day - rather than overcrowded Ala Moana Park was awesome.
Basically, it a team effort again as the Thunder keiki and their families trickled in to the Natatorium through the morning and afternoon. That included one of our recent graduates, Isaiah Visoria, now known to the rest of the world as an All-State guard.
HUGE MAHALO to Coach Bo, who arrived first thing in the morning at 7 am. He brought some BBQ chicken, the grill, equipment and then cooked for the next 12 hours.
For me, it was great to see old and new friends gather together and enjoy some rare free time together relaxing. Thank you, parents!
