Great effort by our guys today. Our execution could've been better at the beginning and at the end, but as far as hustle goes, our guys did their best.
We're still learning to play together. Some guys are still learning the basic plays. We made some nice plays, but being the small team against a huge team, we needed to be smart on every play. We'll get there in time, just need to be patient and keep pushing ourselves.
Our 3-point shooting kept us in this game, especially by Javan. He was on FIRE. Our press did well, too, but fatigue caught us late in the game.
That makes 1-2 so far in NJB All-Net 13U. That means we've got to finish strong in these next few games to qualify for the championship bracket of the playoffs. I know we can do it.
And for the guys who haven't been coming to practice, we need you! Practice is where you get reps, learn plays, build chemistry with teammates. It is a must, especially for our newer guys. Please find a way. Call or text me when you need a ride. We're in this together.
