It is, in essence, the original Beautiful Game. While the design is wonderful DNA, the guts of the system is work ethic. Like anything else, nothing worth working for is acquired without blood, sweat and tears, and not necessarily in this order.

A superb mahalo to Uncle Pete "Maverick" Mitchell for filming this morning's game. Massive mahalo to Auntie Selene Valdez Horita for feeding the Pups hot dogs and popcorn after the game 🤙🏼
It was another epic battle against WOW. When we played them a month or so ago, it went into OT and Amac hit the winning FT in overtime.
Today, the game went back and forth, a lot of great plays by each team. Avari hurt an ankle during a drive to the basket, and WOW took a 22-18 lead in the 4th quarter. He returned and combined with Eisley on two big baskets to tie the game.
We took a 26-25 lead on a FT by Eisley with less than 1:00 left in regulation. We gave a foul that was ruled a shooting foul, so WOW has a chance to win the game with :04 left. They made the first FT to tie, then got the offensive rebound on the miss. Avari blocked their 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
In OT (FT shootout), Avari swished his FT and WOW missed. Eisley's FT tumbled out, and WOW banked in a FT to stay alive.
Amac then banked in his FT and WOW missed to give Thunder the win. Second time Amac has made a FT in OT to beat WOW.
Our 4th Grade Pups play them again tomorrow morning, and then a game vs. Hoop Dreams.
Great defense today by TJ, Miki, Amac on WOW's ballhandlers. Dylan learned a lot today in pressbreaker, and helped on the boards. We got some valuable minutes from Riley, too. Everyone did their part!
