17U PRACTICE TUESDAY

This practice is for the older players and the reserves (some are younger).

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE PRACTICE, CALL ME AT 551-1054. We are already in Pa‘a League 17U. We were planning to enter NJB All-Net at the end of August. However, we need COMMITMENT.

If we don't have 17U guys turning out at practice, I don't see the value in having a second 17U team (in NJB) and paying $550. We don't even have that money; we have about half of it. The rest has already gone toward paying entry fees for the other teams. For 17U to have a SECOND team and not show up for practice in the next week, there's no way. $550 is a LOT of money. I'm only willing to ask parents to make up the difference if you guys are willing to be at practice.

Our 17U has made a lot of progress in the offseason, placing second in the Aiea 16U League, second in the NJB Summer Classic 17U Division. The past two months, though, have been a lot of no-show action, guys not working on their games. Guys not showing up long before our 13U got started.

But if you want to have practices to yourselves as 17U, we'll do that at least twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some Sundays mixed in.

It's all up to you now. You can work on your game every day. Get your 200 shots in. Plus 50 free throws. Help yourself and your school team improve. Or you can sit on your butt and stagnate. Nobody can teach you to be hungry. Either you want it or you don't. Most people aren't willing to put in the sweat. They settle for mediocrity.
