Valiant effort, Thunder heart!

Two losses today, but Coach Bo, Coach Larry and I are feeling proud of the effort from our 17U and 15U. 17U came back to make it a two-point game against a very good KAC team before falling 56-51 in an elimination game. Losing to a bigger, more experienced team that has played together for years is never a downer. But we know we are getting better day by day and the battle you guys fought was superb. I like tough competition because it always forces us to dig deep and get better!

Isaiah. That was just an unbelievable performance.

The 15U faced a solid Blue Devils team and rallied to make it 28-22 late in the game before losing 34-24. Everybody's showing improvement and I'm already looking forward to the two (or three) tournaments coming up in June. Work hard every day, gentlemen. There's no time to be complacent, because someone else is working his ass off while you're taking it easy. Just do it!

I lub this game. Team pot luck coming up in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

Thunder practice, Monday, 4:30 p.m. for the guys who aren't at summer league high school practices. Practice every day, 4:30 p.m. Then the 16U play on Friday, Aiea gym, 8:15 p.m. against KKB.

Special Thanks to the Ogoshis Kaelen's mom, JoAnn, for feeding the team again after the game. Burgers! Mahalo to the Ogoshis for providing refreshments.
