Saturday, July 4 NOTE: Found $11 (two 5s and a 1) loose in a net this morning, so that will be attributed to the Fri 7/3/15 fundraiser. That changes some numbers just a bit, but always nice to have a bigger reward after some hard work.

UPDATE - Costco is closed on Saturday so stay in touch for a different site (551-1054).

A lot of families (no surprise) have plans for the day. I'm just hoping we have at least 3 Thunder players and one more adult and we can give it a go on Saturday morning. A lot of shoppers will still be flocking to Costco to pick up their holiday BBQ goodies.

Friday Fund Day in Wai-Kahala

Thunder working hard this morning and happy about the aloha and generosity of folks going about their way in Kahala, giving to us out of their hearts.

One person donated $100. Great work Jhevin!

A little while later, Chris said he started dancing while holding the big sign and two young women donated $100.

Friday Fish Net

(Correction: There is no game on Saturday. My apologies.) 

9:00 am to 12 noon
Meet 8:30 am Kahala Mall, NE corner (Waialae Ave/Kilauea Ave) at overpass (Kalanianaole Hwy).

Need:
• Signs. Absolute must.
• Coolers
• Ice (I'm bringing coolers to McDonald's to fill up with ice)
• Bottled water (I'm bringing 3 cases)
• Individual 6-pack type bottle coolers
• Snacks (I'm bringing McDonald's or spam musubi)
• Big smiles and shakas

We need everybody there. We're fundraising for the future, period. This summer. This fall. Winter. Spring 2016. Summer mainland trip 2016. League fees. Tournament fees. Uniforms. Basketballs. Everything. Start now and build up your Player Budget.

Hats very recommended, usually, though this time we have some cover from the overpass at Kahala.

As we learned last week, the less we spend (expenses), the more we take home in net profit.

We will also fish net on Saturday. Site still up in the air, though we're leaning toward Mililani. Kam Shopping Center intersection is also a possibility.

Much depends on our numbers. If we have a lot of players working (at least six), we'll go for a bigger intersection. If we have less, we'll go to somewhere smaller, but still busy.

The main thing is having as many players as possible to maximize our reach.
