Good hustle, a lot of desire. Down 20-13 at the half. Missed at least 10 or 12 free throws for the entire game.
Alii played a solid game. Not a deep team, not a great shooting team. But they made plays and we looked like the youngest team in the league, which we are. We looked like a team that hasn't fully shown up for a team practice since May, which we are.
Practice makes perfect. How do we get back to what we were in the spring and early summer?
Lineup: Jhevin, Chaz, Jason, Jayden, Jance, Jonah, Ryan, Micah, Kali‘a.
Next: Sunday, 2:30 pm — H1 Thunder vs. Team Hustle, CAL 13U Gold Division, Kilauea gym. Stretching/warmups 1:30 pm.
Sunday, 4:30 pm — Varsity/JV practice. I specifically pushed last Sunday's practice back to 4:30 from 2:00 at the request of one of our players, who then didn't show up. If 4:30 is still too early, please let me know. Mahalo.
