There are dreams and goals. Make All-State. Play college basketball. Make the NBA. What have you done today to get one step closer?
Document your work. Mark your calendar. “500 shots at game speed. Ran 2 miles. Ran sprints. Jumped rope. Jumping drills. Pushups. Crunches. Planks. 6 inches. Then I went to school.”
*** Repeat every day ***
Study times: 7:15-8:00 am, 11:45-12:15 pm (recess), 3:00-3:45 pm, 7:30-9:30 pm. That’s 4 hours every day to work toward a 4.0 GPA. Then the reward: 9:30-10:30 pm fun time.
Kameron Ng did a rigorous daily schedule. Shooting day and night. So does his brother Kordel. Samuta Avea! So did many other Hawaii ballers who went on to play in college. Nick Velasquez’s mother would drop him off at 5 am to get shots in every morning before school because he asked her.
No shortcuts. No excuses. No lying. Just truth. Simple. Not easy.
Thunder Pups, do you want 5:30 am shooting reps? Call me and I’ll be there for you. It’s called a clock alarm 😊🤙🏼⚡️💯🔥
