Travel organizing: LA or Vegas?

Working on the final stages of planning for the mainland trip. It's not a 100% go yet. But the fundraisers (car wash) are being organized and the destinations are being adjusted. I'm leaning more toward SoCal now instead of Colorado or Las Vegas. Costs are better going to Orange County/LA. The air fare going to Vegas and back skyrocketed over the past 10 days. The projected cost of a trip to Las Vegas went from $9,300 to almost $14,000 during that time all because of air fare.

The numbers and tournament info are below.

My only reservations about going to OC: 1) I don't know anybody who's taken teams to SoCal, but I know of coaches who liked the Vegas tournaments, 2) Traffic.

Javan's dad, Carl, has taken his family to SoCal every two years for a long time. He thinks the traffic won't be an issue. He's also got a few contacts there who can help with a lot of things, like maybe a Disneyland discount.

So why SoCal instead of Vegas? Pretty simple. There's a whole lot more for the kids to do in OC than Vegas. Even Colorado has more to offer than Vegas, but the cost of flying to Denver is expensive compared to SoCal/LV.
